While Cooperstown, NY is known for baseball (and rightfully so!), we have a large selection of things for our visitors to enjoy during their stay here. Museums, dining, outdoor recreation, the list goes on and on. However, there is a reason the slogan “A drinking town with a baseball problem” came to be. With craft breweries and wineries on the rise in Cooperstown, NY, we want to take you on a brief tour of many of the stops that can be found along the Cooperstown Beverage Trail.
Brewery Ommegang http://www.ommegang.com
The most well-known brewery located in Cooperstown is Brewery Ommegang. Built in 1997, they were the first farmstead brewery built in the USA in over 100 years. They have many award winning beers, so you can’t go wrong with any selection you try. Witte and 3 Philosophers are two of our favorites! If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you may want to check out their line of beers named for the series.

Their in-house made bourbon, whiskey, gin, rum, and two different vodka options offer something for every palate. You can also stop into the brand new Beverage Exchange on Main St. and enjoy one of their signature cocktails created with their products or head over to the actual distillery for a tour and tasting.
