Perfect for Families: Fall Festival Fun in Cooperstown

It's well known that summer is full of reasons for visitors to flock to Cooperstown; Field of Dreams, the Glimmerglass Festival, lake activities, and more. Less well known is that Fall in Cooperstown offers just as much fun, with festivals and special autumn events almost every weekend.

Fall Festivals Not to Miss in Cooperstown

Hooray for Harvest Festival - September 12-13th - Harvest Festival is the ultimate celebration of the season, complete with great food, live music, animals, and activities for the entire family. Harvest Festival opens the fall festival season with a bang as a regional favorite.

Cultivate Engine Envy at Tractor Fest - October 10 -11th - Over 60 tractors can be found at The Farmers' Museum from 10:00am to 5:00pm both Saturday and Sunday. See tractors at work or take a wagon ride, pulled by a 1959 Ford Golden Jubilee tractor. Stick around for the kiddie pedal-tractor contest for kids ages 7 and younger, complete with prizes.

Side with Cider at the Fly Creek Cider Festival - October 10 -11th - This weekend at Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard is all about the Mill doing what it does best, making fresh, sweet cider the old-fashioned way on its 1889 water-powered cider press. Pressing demonstrations will be performed by Chris Molloy. Once you learn about the water-powered press, then take one step further back in time and get a chance to help work a hand operated press.

Fly the Coop at Cooptoberfest - October 10th - A new family friendly event is happening right at the center of town! At Cooptoberfest, expect live music from great bands like Bourbon and Branch, games, a corn hole tournament and a celebration of the best craft beers and cider in New York. We recommend getting tickets now, festivities begin at 5:00pm on Main Street.
