Outdoor Events

The Lucy B. Hamilton Amphitheater is a spectacular 100-seat theater built into the sloping landscape of Otsego Lake's shoreline. The venue provides a unique stage for world-class performances with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding countryside. A number of plays and shows are held throughout the season.

The Grounds

The meticulously manicured grounds and terrace overlooking Otsego Lake are art in their own right. Śtroll through the gardens surrounding Fenimore Art Museum or pause from the exploration of the exhibits to enjoy lunch or a treat from the café and take in the view.


A number of amenities at Fenimore Art Museum enhance the visitor experience. The Fenimore Café is open daily  throughout the season from 11 AM - 3 PM and serves a number of delicious lunch options and baked goods along with beer and wine to enjoy a relaxing drink on the terrace. Specialty merchandise and jewelry made by local artists can be purchased in the Fenimore Museum Shop along with books, gifts, and Native American art.
