Our Authors Series brings noted baseball authors to Cooperstown for special lectures and book signings during the summer months. These programs are included with the cost of admission.

On Wednesday, July 29th at 1pm, the Hall of Fame will welcome author Bill Pennington to talk about his new book, Billy Martin: Baseball’s Flawed Genius.

This critically acclaimed book, written by New York Times sportswriter Bill Pennington, examines the life of a manager who was a genius on the field, but fought a variety of demons off the field. The program will include a Q-and-A with Pennington, who will discuss the controversies and conflicts of the former second baseman and fiery manager, who died in a 1989 automobile crash.

After the program in the Bullpen Theater, Pennington will sign copies of his best-selling book in the Library Atrium. Presentation at 1 pm. Book signing at 1:30 pm.
