The Catskill Community Players, in its 44th year, will present a family friendly Holiday Comedy on Dec. 7th, 8th, and 9th at the Wieting Theatre 168 Main St., in Worcester, in conjunction with a special Christmas Theater Dinner at the historic Worcester Inn across the street. "CHRISTMAS BELLES", a Jones, Hope & Wooten Comedy, takes place in the town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters-Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye-are not exactly in a festive mood. Frankie (played by Kristin Sloth) is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink, played by Roxanne Rippa, recently jilted, is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town. And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye (Ashley Moore) is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos. But things are not looking too promising: Miss Geneva (played by Diana Friedell), the ousted director of the previous twenty-seven productions, is ruthless in her attempts to take over the show. The celebrity guest Santa Claus-played by Frankie's husband, Dub (played by Dr. Ben Friedell)-is passing a kidney stone. As one thing after another goes wrong, all hope for a successful Christmas program seems lost, even with an Elvis impersonator at the manger. But in true Futrelle fashion, their hilarious holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!   J Lentner will portray Justin, the local minister, and Abbey Koutnik will appear as Patsy, the local busybody. Elizabeth Murdock takes on the role of Gina Jo, Dub and Frankie's older daughter. The cast is completed by Laurie Wehmeyer as Rhonda Lynn, and Amethyst Gardner as Raynerd. Many of this cast, including Scott West, Ben Friedell, J Lentner & Diana Friedell, played roles in CCP's last production of the mystery spoof," Bloody Murder", last spring. This show is under the direction of Gary Koutnik, who is not just an Otsego County Representative, but also, a veteran actor
